GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?

now my sister wants a hair straightener and everyone keeps saying there the best but seriously we have an old one and ive found other brands are way better.what do you recommend. i think GHD is just thought to be the best because of advertising??GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?
GHD straighteners are usually used by professional hair dressers. You rarely ever go to super cuts and see them use it, but if you are looking to pay big bucks for a professional haircut, they are most likely using a major name brand like GHD. Behind all the research and design comes a tactical evolution in hair styling when it comes to GHD. Yes Farouk CHI is something we can all vouch for, but in comparison, the level of performance GHD puts out is by far the best in the market. I purchased mine some time ago from

http://www.Stophia.com for a good price and overall fast shipping. Be careful of fake GHD's out in the market like eBay and Amazon. The one I got was 100% genuine. Good luck!GHD hair straightener. whats the deal?
GHD straighteners have a lot of features that cheaper straighteners don't offer. From Sephora.com:

-Designed to curl, as well as straighten the hair.

-Ceramic-coated plates help seal the cuticle and create shine while locking in hair's natural moisture and preventing atmospheric moisture from re-penetrating hair.

-The iron emits a large proportion of infrared heat and produces negative ions, both of which are less damaging to the hair, reducing static and creating shine.

-Standard irons use PTC or copper-wound elements, which are less efficient at emitting infrared heat and negative ions and can dry out the hair.

-A 9-foot swivel cord prevents tangling and damage.

-Floating blades provide flexibility and smoothness when styling.

-Built-in integrated circuits regulate the temperature 5 times per second (indicated by a flashing LED) to ensure the temperature remains constant throughout the styling process.

-A built-in microprocessor embedded in one of the blades monitors and regulates the blade temperature 5 times per second.

-If the temperature exceeds 374掳F, the thermal fuse will blow, resulting in the iron switching off.

-The thermal fuse is a safety feature to prevent the iron from overheating.
It's the best quality, lasting, straightener. If you haven' t noticed, lot's of top salons use GHD straighteners. but i would just stick with a normal unpricey straightener to be honest. You're getting a straightener to straighten your hair right? So get a good, not overpriced one i suggest. You can learn to curl your hair with a normal straightener just like it did, i have one of the worsts and it still works out fine.
The GHD tends to keep the hair straighter for longer but most of the hair straighteners will do the same thing it just depends on how the hair is straightened.

Just don't use sunbeam straighteners.
