if you want a non-expensive one go to target and get a ';Wet2Straight'; it works with both wet and dry hair and its really non-expensive and works!
Straighteners with metal plates are bad for your hair. Try to avoid those. Ceramic plates are best for your hair. Try to go with a brand that you know, not some unknown you just heard about. I have a wet 2 straight w/ metal plates, but i stopped using it when i found out it was bad for your hair. It's especialy bad to dry your hair w/ a straightener, the steam blisters your hair.

i like the remmington wet 2 straight. its like 30-something bucks at any old drug store. i got mine from rite aid, and i LOVE it. it doesnt totally dry your hair out like the CHI and doesnt give you half as many split ends.
if ur hair is thick then get the wet2straight that has the 1'; plates but if u have thick hair then get the 2'; one cuz its way faster. i ahve both. the 1'; is like 24.00 at walmart and the 2';is like 28.00
