How do I know if it's the real Chi and not some fake ones? Are they actually better than Conair? What's the good and bad about it? I'm actually considering getting one! Any advices would greatly appreciated! Thanks!!CHI hair straightener?
Chi is the best you can get for your money. I have one, they last forever. The ceramic straightener makes your hair shiny and soft. The sleek design makes it easy to get your roots straight. It is definately better than Conair, trust me. I've tried Conair, and you might've too, but with my hair type it didn't cut it. If you want hair that looks naturally straight, go with the Chi.

You can get real Chis at salons, just ask the one that you go to. My salon USES Chis.CHI hair straightener?
Chi is better. i use it and its safer.
If you pay attention, Target sells Chi for about $99 around the Christmas holidays as a price leader.
i have one got from ebay. i don't know about real one . it looks real to me. it works good. gets really hot. but in long term i am going to do a japanese straigtening.
My wife uses chi... It gets hotter, is ready faster, and lasts LOTS longer than conair

Everyone thinks CHI's are reaaaaally good but they arent. They work good yeah, but for like $200 they shouldn't break. I've had 4 different REAL chi's and they've all broken within like 4 months. Conair sucks too. I would get a Sedu i love mine!
CHI is amazing they heat up really fast and work really well and ... fast but make sure you get a ceramic one they work alot better. ask like a hairsalon that might carry them

chi is soo much better than conair ive tried both.

What hair straightener do you use?

i use the coriolissWhat hair straightener do you use?

    iron
i use a rly wide revlon w/ gold colored(idk wat their made of) plates. it wrks rly well
    CHI

it's one of the best, I love it.
Corioliss (pink one). Works good. The plates are a little thin though.. makes me take longer straightening my LONG, thick hair.
i use remington 3x smooth and sleek cause it's the only one that works on my hair, because i have really thick hair and it's dry and i have a load of curls (really long too i love it).
    Kiwi- blow serum

    Osis - x-tra flat
my hair is naturally straight, i dont need a straightener :)
i don't my hair is already straight.
I have natural straight hair so i dont use a straightner only when i have a bad hair hair day i use my GHD hair straightener they're the best and it doesnt show that i use a hair straightener.
    conair
chi is the best $140 i have ever spent
a conair gvp that is compared to chi and it works the same i think...
i use SEDU its great you can use it on any kind of hair
I got mine at Bed, Bath and beyond. I pd. $30 for it and it works just as good as the real expensive ones. It's a Remington, Wet to straight.
I use frizeez (sp?) a round brush, and a blowdryer.
    babylis
i use good it the best top salons use it and ur hair gets straighten very easily
I use the Chi Flat Iron It Works Really Good!!!

My hair straightener broke... any ideas?

I have generally wavy//sorta frizzy hair. Its kinda thick, but not really because i have some (not much) layers. My straightener broke so ive been doing messy buns and braids but i REALLY wana wear my hair down. Any ideas as to how to get it curly?? I just showered and need to go to bed soon, so should i braid it... but then the ends are straight..?? So any ideas as to how i can get it curly with out using anything? If not, how should i wear my hair up tomorrow? My hair straightener broke... any ideas?
    You should buy another straightener.

but for tonight, you should try to blow dry your hair with a round brush. there are videos on how to do it on youtube. My hair straightener broke... any ideas?
What I do when that happens is I brush through it until its PIN straight. Then I part my hair in the center or on the side (however I want it the next day) and braid them. Then I do nice, tight, ballerina buns with each braid. Sleep through it. Then in the morning, it will some out nice and so you gel it through, blow dry it, and its done. (You don't have to blow dry it if you don't want to)
If you have velcro rollers, put them in overnight.

    If not, try this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n鈥?/a>

    It works pretty well.

In the morning, put some mousse to loosen them up.

Then put hair clay or pomade to hold them.
braids would probably work, if you have velcro rollers you could leave them in overnight and take them out in the morning.
You should Baraid it in like 20 baraids all around your head so it will be pretty with waves!!

i just bought a Conair one at KMart for 30 and i have the most difficult hair ever and it straightened it so i wouldnt waste hte money if you arent gunna wear ur hair straight every day. i just like tos traighten it occassionally and this works perfect. plus you can get a way cheaper CHI on ebay brand new in the box. its only like 80 or less.
I got my CHI on eBay for $27.99(Shipping included) They have Pink, Green, and Blue. They straighten good, but I'd suggest that you go to target and get Herbal Essences' Straight Spray. It helps it look straight. Make sure you spray it before and after you straighten your hair. Good Luck.

I need a new straightener and have a lot of birthday/christmas money still. So any suggestions?? i don't care about the price i just need a good one that doesn't snag my hair..

and a heat protector. i don't care if this just comes from wal-mart i just need a good one.

Thanks ahead of time :)Which hair straightener?
GO FOR A HAIR STRAIGHTENER THAT HAS TEMPERATURE CONTROL !! Especially if you have colored..thin..or dry hair.. because if you don't before you know it you'll be posting more questions on here asking whats the best hair masque or hair conditioner for damaged hair..and be spending even more money on that...

the CHI original doesn't have this.. i should know.. i own one. I also own the Sedu..and thought that was great until the GHD came out..

    go to

www.makeupalley.com and read a lot of people's reviews and do a lot of research before you invest your hair's health and wallet into a good hair straightener !!

as for heat protectants, i've used many.. both cheap and expensive..i'm happy with just the Nexxus brand at Wal mart for about 14 bucks.. good luck!!Which hair straightener?
    go to your local sallys

and buy jilbere de paris titanium straightner it just 55 dollars and better than a chi a fhi sedu or any of that crap i dot know why its no big its a salon straightner it last for like 5 years and the heat is constant and comes on fast

it goes up to 450 degress for maximum straightning

and it has a heat control setting
you can get the remington wet 2 straight hair iron.you can get it from rite aid and duane read for sure..other places, i'm not sure- heres a pic of it

    http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/remingto鈥?/a>
The best hair straightner I've ever used is made by revlon. I have very thick hair, and it works so good because there is a heat adjustment on it. Also, check out beauty supply stores, they normally have very good straightners for reasonable prices. A good heat protector is made by tresme and you can get it at walmart, its a little pricey but works wonders.
    chi or metropolis
The site, http://www.topstraighteningiron.com shows detailed information about the best hair straighteners out there. The last thing you want to do is use a bad iron that will burn your hair
    a sedu flat iron...love those.
I would suggest a CHI hair straightener. They're about $100. Cheaper some places. I love mine and i use it everyday. It gets really hot, which i need because I have really thick wavy hair. It also makes my hair really soft. Get a CHI. =]

    Chi hair straightener deals?

My hair straightener sucks and i heard the best hair straightener is the chi.i was wondering which type is the best , and where can i get it ,and for how muchChi hair straightener deals?
I'm not sure where the best deals are, maybe ebay? But ya, Chi hair straighteners are awesome, there's no other that even comes close. I got this trial one that's really good directly from the Chi company itself. All I needed to do was try it out for at least 60 days and then give feedback every few days.

It works really awesome, it just heats up super fast and takes me about 5 minutes to straighten my hair and I got really long wavy hair.

I'm not sure if there are any left, but you can always try http://www.freesamplesfromheaven.com/chi鈥?/a>

I like Revlon or Vidal Sassoon, I think that they are the same electronics inside.

they are usually 20 $ to 30 $ and at lots of local stores like target and longs drugs.

    Best hair straightener/flat iron?

I am currently saving up to get a really good straightener but I want to get one until then. Anyone know of a good straightener I can get at walMart or Target? (under 40 dollars if possible) Oh and if you know of a good heat protectant for your hair??? thanks!Best hair straightener/flat iron?
the best straightner you can possibly get is the CHI straightner..but it is expensive.

Another very good one (which i own)

    is the Jilbere ceramic..

they are cool, work great! and come in many colors!Best hair straightener/flat iron?
Definately the Chi or ghd. They're way worth it.

And I use tressemee heat protection spray; it works great, and smells AMAZING XD
    Chi

and their thermal styling products are great

it's expensive, but you get a good iron that will have even heat and last forever and its better for your hair
Conair Straighteners are pretty good idk if spelling on that is rite
Revlon I use matrix for a heat protectant.
    Chi
Not many good quality hair straighteners and under $40 ):

GHDS are really good , and mine thats a hedkandi and i got that for 拢60

    i use tresemme heat protectant
    The best flat irons:

    CHI

    ISO

    Sedu

But all of them range from 70 to 200 dollars. I don't see how you are going to get an EXCELLENT flat iron from WalMart or Target from forty of under...

For heat protectant sprays, try Bedhead (somewhere around $7, I think), Paul Mitchell (somewhere around $7 as well, I think) or CHI, which is around $15.
The GHD is the absolute best. But VERY expensive. If you want something cheaper, get the CHI. It's amazing.

You can use almost any heat protectant, they all do the same thing :P
    Chi.

    It's amazing.

I have wavy hair that does whatever the hell it wants when it wants, even when straightened. Chi makes my hair pin straight. Pretty much amazing!

But, for a cheap one... get one with Tourmaline in it. My friend Rachel got one like a year ago for like $20 and it makes her hair not only really straight, but incredibly soft!
pureology!!! get a spray for a heat protecton, it works fabulosly
if u want the best one get a ghd or chi

but if u want one under 40 definately get the bedhead

    Chi Hair Straightener?

How hot does the chi hair straightener get?Chi Hair Straightener?
I thought I read somewhere that it gets to about 385 degrees, but I would think it might get to a bit more. I've heard great things about this iron.

I must say that I have Paul Mitchell's The Smoothing Iron (the one with the lime green plates), and it is hands-down the best appliance I have ever purchased. My hair has never been as straight as it is with this iron, not at all frizzy, and soft. If the Chi iron is anywhere near as good as the PM iron (and I often hear them compared as equal or near equal), I would say it's worth it! :)

What hair straightener should i get?

i want to spend less than 40 dollars and buy it at target. it needs to get really hot cuz the one i just bought doesnt and it sucks. any suggestiona on great flat irons?

http://www.target.com/Straightening-Irons-Hair-Care-Beauty/b/ref=in_se_pagelist_btm_next?ie=UTF8%26amp;searchView=grid5%26amp;searchNodeID=13828331%26amp;searchRank=pmrank%26amp;searchPage=4%26amp;searchSize=30What hair straightener should i get?
I have a Paul Mitchell Pro Tools straightener which was a christmas gift, but I prefer my cheapo Remington from Wal Mart. I think I paid about $30 for it 5 years ago, but i haven't found one to match it yet! It's a grey and purple flat iron, if you come across it, I recommend it!What hair straightener should i get?
I strongly suggest a Remington flat iron. I recently bought a $70 straightener from Sally's Beauty Shop and it still doesn't, in my opinion, do as well or get as hot as my old Remington iron. It is black/gray and purple. i think i bought it for $30 at target about 2 years ago. So if they still carry that one it is the best one if you want one that gets hottest.

speaks for itself. But i have curly blond hair.

    Help?Good hair Straightener?
I have a cheap revlon one but it actually works very well.Good hair Straightener?
chi it has a built in brush like so as u go over it it brushes it, go over ur ends and then go root to tip its proven to be the best absolute best straitener it will get naturally crazy curly hair straitened completely in half the time (its proven) it also has its own product line like sprays, brushes, everything :) hope this helps

    Chi hair straightener temperature?

I got one for 130 dollars and it only goes up to 392 temp!?

I thought they were supposed to be able to go up to 450

soo Idk I have thick wavyy hair so I need higher temp are their any chi's that go higher than 392Chi hair straightener temperature?
I dont think that the CHI hair straightener gets much hotter than that. I also have a CHI with wavy hair, and it works fine on me. I would suggest when your straightening your hair to seperate it into about 3 different layers, put it up as if your doing a half pony tail. Straighten, then let hair down and add more hair to straighten. Yes, it takes a little longer, but straightening in the thinner layers rather then all hair at once should help.

    Best hair straightener?

Hey so right now i have the Wet2Straight straightner. I think its kind-of a cheap one. At first it worked great but now i've had it for over two years i think and my hair feels fried within a couple hours of straightening my hair, and it doesn't feel smooth like it used to.

BASICALLY its frying my hair majorly and I'm looking for a ceramic one. I don't want to spend over like $50, but i want a ceramic hair straighter because I've heard those are better for your hair.

    Any suggestions?

In case you were wondering.. my hair is pretty fine but i have a lot of it. And I usually let it air dry unless I'm in a hurry. It's not curly but its wavy (not the good kind of wavy unfourtunatl!). When it drys it gets majorly frizzy and poofy and gross haha I hate it. I usually straighten it once a day, sometimes twice, and once in a while, not at all. PLEASE HELP! kthanks!Best hair straightener?
I got mine as Sally Beauty Supply.. I was lucky and also found a $5 off coupon in the store.

It is by ';Curlmaster'; hair straightening iron (1 1/2'; wide (but varies up to about 2 ';), ceramic plates) and has settings up to 400 degrees....for $39.99 it was the best deal ever... everyone talks about the Chis and how great they are, but iwould never spend that much !! I love my hair, but not enough to go broke :-)

Ive had it now for over 2 years... just dont buy that cheap stuff at target, walmart etc....

I prefer to blow dry then straighten but either or works just fine and i get SUPER sleek straight look (NOT OILY).. its amazing... i also use Beyond the Zone hair protectent straightener spray.. its in orange translucent spray bottle with magenta spray top (also at beauty supply stores)

good luck! If you dont have a sally beauty supply, there are plenty of other professional hair product stores to find this product in..Best hair straightener?
    a GHD
if you're looking for a good hair straightener under $50, i'd go to target and buy a brand called vidal sassoon. those are really good hair straighteners (if you've ever heard of a vidal sassoon salon) and they're pretty cheap from target.

    here's one. it's ceramic also:

    http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=鈥?/a>

this revlon one is pretty good, too:

    http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=鈥?/a>

but if you're willing to spend more than $50, i'd get this one. it's the one i use:

    http://www.misikko.com/unceflir1in.html

it's very good, but a little pricy; it's about $90. my aunt got it for me at a hair show (because she's a cosmetologist).

it's called the ceramic infrashine; and i have it in 1';, but it comes in other sizes.

i don't know if i'd order the infrashine one off that site, i'd look for it at a salon.

    good luck!
I know just what you mean. I have so much hair and its not the good wavy either. I recomend getting the Curlmaster Ceramic Straightener. You can get it at Sally's for about $40, and it works so fast with not frizz.
Maybe you could have a look on ebay to see if there are any good ceramic straightners otherwise go to hairdressing supply shops to see if they can recommend any If you were prepared to pay the money GHD is the way to go I knew of somebody who had been using a GHD for years and her hair was in perfect condition
you dont need to spend a lot of money to get a good hair straighener, thats a myth... i have the remington wet to straight ceramic hair straightener and it was fabulous (until i let it get really dirty now i cant clean it) i forgot to take it away on holidays with me and was desperate for something coz i forgot my hair dryer too so i went to kmart and bought a $39.95 remington professional ceramic straightener which is one of the skinny ones and its sooooooo good... i would never spend over $120 on one... prob not even $100. What a waste of money! LET ALONE buying a GHD when something that was 39.95 can do the job! I think GHD is all a fuss, it cant seriously be that good, its like $280 or something!

    Andis Multi Heat Ceramic

It's about 20 bucks at Walmart. It gets really hot and stays hot. The best straightener i have ever had. It helps keep the frizz down to and wont fry your hair. It's also durable haha I'm surprised mine isn't dead yet how many times I've dropped the thing. Get the smaller size, it's easy to control and keeps a regular temp better.
Most people will say Chi or those other fancy names,

But I LOVE my ceramic Conair straightner!

I have a big afro after drying when wet, so it explains alot. They aren't really expensive and it comes with lots of cool functions. Plus, when it gets ';too hot'; it turns off automatically. I had mine for over, 3 years? And still in good condition, plus it has a comb.

    http://www.conair.com/instant-heat-ceram鈥?/a>
    ok well..

with the straightener that you have has made your hair dry and not smooth anymore. the straightener that i ahve is expensive but any good straightener is so you will probably have to spend more that $50 if you can't then another thign you can do to stop your hair from getting really dry is to use a product, i also have one of them, it is really easy you just spray before you straighten it helps your hair heaps. i hope i have helped.
I have really thick hair and a LOT of it. I can never find a straitener that actually works for me. But recently I got the conair infinity and it is amazing. It has a bunch of different heat settings so it works for fine or thick hair.

I absolutely love it and it only takes like 10 min for me to completely straiten my hair when it used to take at least a half hour to get it only kinda straight.

And the best part is that it's only like $40 and has probably actually gone down in price...

    Ionic hair straightener?

I have an ';ionic'; hair straightener and also an ';ionic'; hair blowdryer. I'm just wondering what ion means and if it really works. Thanks!Ionic hair straightener?

My hair straightener won't turn on? im freaking out.?

i tried turning it on today it wouldnt turn on

i tried different places plugging it in.

its the jilbere de paris tourmaline series straightener.

anyone know whats going on or what i could do?My hair straightener won't turn on? im freaking out.?
if you know any hairdressers near you that use those straightners go to them and ask.

i did this with my ghd's and they gave me a postage bag to send them off because they broke and they sent me back some new straighteners for free :D and i've done that twice now :)My hair straightener won't turn on? im freaking out.?
If it's less than 90 days and you have the reciept, you can try to see if it has a warranty on it. Here's a page with a list of manufacture phone numbers:

    http://www.sallybeauty.com/Manufacturer%…
ah! idk! i'm always scared that will happen to me!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
one of mind did that too. i don't think there is anything you can do but get a new one.
Put it in water with your hand, this will straighten out your hair quick.
click the reset buttons, if not it may be broken
got a new one. the cord shorted out. mine did it too!

Which Hair Straightener is better ?

which Hair Straightener is the best CHI HAI or GHA ??

which does not damage the hiar? or do less damage?

and where can i buy it.

thanksWhich Hair Straightener is better ?
CHI is the bestWhich Hair Straightener is better ?
actually i use a flat iron called ion straight.i got it at sallys beauty supply store.it cost about 80 dollars.the chi is like 150. the ion works amazing.it doesnt take long to heat up or to straighten my hair.it also helps with the frizz.i recomend it.

    good luck
Sadly, all straighteners will damage your hair.

One of the best is CHI. Another great one that costs a bit less is made by RUSK.

If you want to minimize the damage, use a protectant like Rusk's Str8 Line.
Unless your hair straightener doesn't use chemicals or HeAt to straighten, I'm afraid to say that continual usage WOULD spoil your hair. Hair straighteners with ions, ceramic plates are touted to reduce hair damage, but that can only be SaiD. It may be sooo small that the damage inflicted on your hair by the heat outweighs the benefits in the short run. In the long run however, I don't think it would help. You hair would still be damaged by the much higher than average heat. Would YoU BUY, AT A HIGHER PRICE , if it ';works like ordinary straighteners';???

Never heard of Chi Hai, heard of GHA on the internet but it isn't sold in my country-not in the major department stores, or any store that I've heard of,at least, so I would recommend it. Buy something like Revlon, VS etc-a midpriced one will do since its to ';damage'; your hair. But at least there's a warranty and you can exchange it at your local shop if its faulty! :)
i just got a CHI off ebay for $60. i tried it out for the first time today and it is the best thing i have ever used to straighten my hair! it took probably 25 minutes to do my whole head and i have really long curly hair. it was well worth the money. i'm so happy with it that i probably would have paid full price for it!
umm i use ceramic and it works great you can buy it anywhere..
Buy a perm, comb it thru, use as directed and it will strighten your hair
im sory all hair strateners will damage ur hair a LOT after repated use. :( u should learn to LUVE your curly locks! ur hair will be VERY badly damaged if u use it more than a few times a year sorry :(
i have GHD's theyre really good, heat up quick

all straighteners damage your hair the same just using the right protection spray is important.

A cheaper option to GHD's are KODO's which are basically the same but more affordable!
    CHI!!!!!
I don't know, I never heard of CHI HAI or GHA brand before?
DON'T USE EITHER THEY'LL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!
I dont know of either one but I have a revlon one and it straightens even wet hair!! Its amazing and I love it...I bought it at walmart lol

P.S.: i`m not from U.S so don`t tell me about CHI ,GHD etc. :PWhich hair straightener is better : remington s9000, remington wet 2 straight or remingon s8102 ?
Just don't get the Wet To straight one, because that's more damaging.

    Solia hair straightener?

I have been doing some research and I came across this flat iron. It seems pretty neat and looks like it works well. Give me your advice and reviews :) THANXSolia hair straightener?
Well to be honest all straightens work all the same. I never heard of that one but like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Meaning if its cheap its going to be made cheap. If it鈥檚 a lot of money well its made better. Sooo good luck girl!

    Good Hair Straightener?

Hi, i have very thick, coarse, afro hair and wanted to invest in a good hair straightener. I have heard people talk about the Kodo and Corioliss (not available in Australia). The cost doesnt bother me that much, but if i am going to spend $200 i want a really good one.

    I hope you can help

    Thanks all.Good Hair Straightener?
well my hair is quite straight although my cousian has very thick afro hair as you said you do. I straighten her hair alot with GHD salon (the thick ones).

i think these would help, they get very hot, make sure you use haet protection!

i hope this helps :)Good Hair Straightener?
i heard the chi striaghtner was really good

    but its like 130 bucks

i have a Bed Head straightner which was only like

70 bucks and it works perfectly =]
    GHD-amazingness!
CHI is a good type of hair straightener
    GHD! Best ever.
I have a CHI and it is really good.

My hair straightener won't heat up?

When I turn it on, the lights on the buttons come on, but after I let it warm up for a few minutes it doesn't get hot. And yes it's plugged in. lol. It's Conair if it makes any difference. Is there anything I can do?

    Thanks

%26lt;3-kelliMy hair straightener won't heat up?
yes, it is probably too old. A good one I bought was about $70 at Wal-Mart. It is a 'Conair 2'; Platinum Pure Ceramic Tourmaline Straightener model PLCS32TC' It heats up very quickly and if you use a heat spray it works so well. Much better than the last conair I bought. My hair straightener won't heat up?
Something in the wiring of it is broken, and there really is nothing you can do to fix the problem, except buy a new straightener. Mine broke like that and I just got a new one.
Maybe its just old. I would get a new one.

    Better hair straightener?

My hair straightener broke and now I need a new one. Which is a better brand, CHI or T3 and why? Or do you recommend another brand?Better hair straightener?
i like CHI it works better on my hair. and you answered one of my question and i have something to say. actually YES very very very badly i want to become an actress on disney. you dont even know. i already am in acting classes and already take singing classes i just want extra practice.Better hair straightener?
    Chi.

I love my chi. i have the bling edition which i bought off of ebay's get it now. It's the best one i've ever used. I can honestly curl/flip/straighten.

All in one. It's perfect. It heats up in like 4 seconds, and finished my long, thick hair, in less than 15 minutes.

    It is super :)
you can go to CHI-GHD.com to buy hair straightener,

very low price and the shipping is free and fast!

i bought two several months ago,one gave to my sister, and both works well.

    hope this helped
    the remington wet-2-straight one.

although if you supremely want a good, costly one get the Chi

but its soo expensive , probably get it off of ebay or something
chi's well work without a doubt the best!

i use Revlon ceramic, its super good and heats up good. bought it at walmart or target for about $15
chi is the best straightener everr =]
    chi is better

but i have conair and it works great
I have Paul Brown- It is the BEST!
i have a solia :) chi's are good too, just yeah make sure you protect your hair! ha ha
ive heard great things about the CHI but i would never buy one that costs that much

    Inexpensive hair straightener?

    *decently straight hair

*i want flat hair instead of one huge wave

    *inexpensiveInexpensive hair straightener?
If you want a good quality hair straightener that won't burn your hair, you're going to have to pay more for it.

Probably one of the cheapest good flat irons is the Conair Infiniti. It isn't great, but it gets the job done. Just be sure to use a heat protection spray!

You can buy the Infiniti at drug stores for only about $20.

But saving up and buying a good flat iron like a Chi, Sedu, or GHD is a better option.

They don't break as easily as cheap straighteners, and they don't burn your hair.

    :] I hope I helped!Inexpensive hair straightener?
I am so familiar with this problem. Before I give you any advice about products and such I have to tell you that it takes a while for the hair to be trained and once your hair is trained then it really doesn鈥檛 matter what kind of products you use. In my opinion shampoo and conditioner is not such a big deal. This is when the Super Skinny Serum comes in to play, then I use a light oil, like Hot Six. Its a liquid, this helps to lubricate the hair so that it doesn鈥檛 singe while flat ironing. Now, use a small amount of oil but for the first day it will seem a little heavy but not super heavy, you will still have major body. Always remember to wrap your hair at night with a soft/slick material so that it doesn鈥檛 pull or split. One last thing, alot of people spend macho bucks on expensive flat irons but I kid you not, I paid 15 bucks for my flat iron and it is the best one I have ever owned.I hope this information is helpful. Don鈥檛 lose hope and remember once you train your hair it will be almost as if you have a different texture and then it will be more manageable.

For more Information about hair you can concern with this site: http://www.haircareness.blogspot.com/
I have the babyliss pro 230. there great and about 拢50. Cheaper on amazon!

They give the same result as my GHD but were half the price. however they are more chunky and heavy than GHD's. But they do let you change temperture which ghd's dont.

Try the babyliss pro 230. trust me, you won't regrett it !

I recently bought the Remington brand straightener called ';Wet2Straight'; at Wal-mart for $26.99.

You can straighten your hair while it's wet - or when it's dry. It has a digital screen with many different settings for different hair types.

It has ceramic plates (which is what you want for a straightener) and it is very easy to handle!

I would highly recommend it!Good hair straightener 4 good price?
i got my hair straightner for 30 dollars from walmart and i love it. its a conair. its not one of those high tech fancy ones but it does an amazing job and all my friends comment on how nice it works. i think it does a better job than most expensive ones.
nope but nicky clarke is a good hairstraightner and products company
The best one's in UK are GHD at the moment!

does it work really well?!! does it make your hair really straight as its told to do so?? please help! im thinking of buying one and im not sure if its worth it!Anyone own a gold n hot hair straightener??
Gold N Hot is a pretty good line for a less expensive one. But I realy love a brand calld Babyliss. It costs a little more, but the irons get hotter (up to 450 F) and leave my hair incredibly straight and shiny! If your hair isn't super curly and will straighten well at a lower temp, Gold N Hot will work for you.Anyone own a gold n hot hair straightener??
    but it depends which one you buy, the higher the temperature, the higher the price. I have a gold n Hot straightener and it works really good, it goes up to 400 and it was $40! Im black, and i have thick course hair, and it works really well! BUY IT%26gt;%26gt;

Can someone help me with my hair straightener?!?

i have a thin hair that is layered. i use a tigi bedhead straightener most mornings. when i get home, my hair is wavy and kind of stringy. what should i do to avoid this? Can someone help me with my hair straightener?!?
I used to have the same problem.

My hair would be perfect in the morning and then when I came home it would be wavy.

What I did was turn up the heat, and use a straightning product. But beware that the hotter it is the more damage it can do to your hair. So I know use a serum that I put in my hair when I come out of the shower to protect it.

    Hope that helped.

VickiCan someone help me with my hair straightener?!?
get a better straightener, or turn that one up higher
Perhaps you need a straightener that gets hotter. You also might want to use some kind of humidity resistance product. I use BioSilk Serum. It's a little pricey, but it makes your hair shiny and silky while it protects it from damage and humidity.
use a flat iron along w/ the hair stuff.
Get a better straitener or ask your hairdresser....
make sure that you use heat proof spray so that you do not damage your hair. if your hair is wavy you are either not straightening it properly or you just need to get better straighteners. GHD are the straighteners that i use and when i straighten my hair it stays straight until i wash it.
get a better straightener and try some straightening cream =)

if you want a non-expensive one go to target and get a ';Wet2Straight'; it works with both wet and dry hair and its really non-expensive and works!
Straighteners with metal plates are bad for your hair. Try to avoid those. Ceramic plates are best for your hair. Try to go with a brand that you know, not some unknown you just heard about. I have a wet 2 straight w/ metal plates, but i stopped using it when i found out it was bad for your hair. It's especialy bad to dry your hair w/ a straightener, the steam blisters your hair.
remington wet to straight flat iron. It is $26.89 at target.
the wet 2 dry straightener, i think its from conair...........its 20 bucks thats the one i have
    a trouser press maybe?
i like the remmington wet 2 straight. its like 30-something bucks at any old drug store. i got mine from rite aid, and i LOVE it. it doesnt totally dry your hair out like the CHI and doesnt give you half as many split ends.
if ur hair is thick then get the wet2straight that has the 1'; plates but if u have thick hair then get the 2'; one cuz its way faster. i ahve both. the 1'; is like 24.00 at walmart and the 2';is like 28.00

HOW MUCH TIME THE EFFECT OF HAIR STRAIGHTENER WILL BE THERE??

how much time hair will remain straightHOW MUCH TIME THE EFFECT OF HAIR STRAIGHTENER WILL BE THERE??
Until you wash itHOW MUCH TIME THE EFFECT OF HAIR STRAIGHTENER WILL BE THERE??
It depends on allot of different things really!

    1.What the weather is like?

If it is windy it won't stay straight for as long

If it's raining the rain will make it go, curly wavy or just a mess lol

If it's a nice sunny day then it will stay straight for longer

    2.Your hair

If your hair is curly then after a while it will start to go kinky!

If your hair has short layers after a while they will start to curve inwards towards your face

    3.How well you straighten it

If you spend longer straightening it, it will stay straighter for longer but if you just take 5 minutes on it then it won't stay as straight for as long
its totally depend on ur way of striating it, how strongly u do, it has efect from 3weeks to two months but dont go for next round before 3 months,
until the next time you wash your hair

but if your hair is permanently straightened, then until your hair grows out again
If youre using a regular flat iron, mine CAN last three days, but i usually wash it everyday so
depends really on what type of hair you have and what type of straighter you have

prob between 4 hours to all day x

Are you using a flat iron or are you permanently straightening your hair?
IT WILL GO OFF AFTER U SHAMPOO YER HAIR

BUT NORMALLY IT DOES STAY FOR A QUITE A LONG TIME

Is a GVP hair straightener better than a CHI??

Apprently GHD's always blow up, this is just what i've heard apprently they had a techinical fault.

Anyway i've alwaayyss used 'Remmington' ones.

At the moment i've got 'Nano Gold, Straight in a Stroke - Remmington'

They were about 拢50 but are excellent.

They go up to 230 degress which isn't good for your hair but as long as you protect it and get it cut every 6weeks ish then it's all good!

There really ood for curling your hair aswel!!
chi's are good but i heard they can go up to a high degree and if your not careful it will damage your hair. i have a remmington t studio and its amazing! its waslike 40 bucks and its the only straightener that i have had more than a year all my other ones stopped heating up as they got older :] hope this helps!! oh p.s. dont get conairs straighteners there bad, but there curliing irons are good;] )
I use a GHD (good hair day) Straighteners, very popular over here (ireland) everyone has one! Honestly i have two! I have quite long hair now and my hairdresser always says that its in good condition! When i was in school I'd straighten nearly every day, now I only do it as the weekends if I'm heading out, and with that I put a lot of heat defense products in my hair
I have super wavy hair and I use ConAir Infiniti and it works perfectly. Its ceramic so it dosnt fry my hair as much, and it keeps it straight for a long long time. It was $30 and works as well as a CHI. If you still want something more well known for less if you go to TJ Maxx's or Marshalls' hair sections they have striaghtners for a lot off. I once found this really pretty blue Bed head one for $30!
I use ConAir Infiniti Ceramic hair straightner..

I use it only after I wash my hair with some hair serum...so avoid hair breakage and it frying my hair. I try not to use it to often as it is bad for you hair no matter the brand or price or type...
I use this straightener by conair. It's red and it has a button where u can straighten ur hair when its wet. I really like it. I've had mine for about 6 months. But I got it on sale on Wal-mart and it was about $40. idk if they still have it D:
Chi. They work for any type of hair. But they are a little price-y. But to get the good stuff you have to spend a good chunk of cash.
What type of hair...do u have it depends...but usually...the cheaper the flat iron is the worst the qaulity is.....I would have a hairdresser suggest one for you!!
honestly, anything ceramic will do the trick.

i have a con-air that costs 15$ and it works the same as my friends CHI that costs over $100!!
They all damage your hair, because they all use heat .. The most damage? it depends on what heat setting you use.

I use a Sedu .. It is magical.
I live in the UK and GHD's are pretty much the best. It is pricey though...

    Lice and hair straightener?

i used nix on my hair today, to get rid of a mild case of head lice.

is it okay to straighten it?

or will there be some effect?Lice and hair straightener?
The best way to get rid of lice is when your in the shower put a lot of conditioner throughout your hair and get a lice comb or the tiniest comb you have and put the comb against your scalp and comb it through youll see lice on the comb. the conditioner and the water helps it slip off easier.

hope that helps it helped for meLice and hair straightener?
I don't think it should effect your hair or anything.
Don't use your straightener until for sure you have absolutely no lice. It will get into your straightener, and that will cause you to get lice again after its all gone.

Borrow one from another friend or try using some straightening hair gel.
You can always use a clothes iron :) just don't forget to put the towel over your hair..
you could just blow dry it straight....or you could use a curler to straighten it if you have one (just losely curl it and then brush it out, it really looks like you actually straightened it)

i would suggest tresemme curl defining mousse--just put it on when your hair is wet after a shower, and keep scrunching it until it's dry. It doesn't quite give me curls, but it does give me really nice waves that aren't frizzy or anything :)

i actually bought this the other day and i just used it. my hair is kind of wavy and this smoothed it out a bit. you have to style it though. no shampoo will just magically straighten your hair, it takes heat or chemicals. but the shampoo will help keep from frizzing up and will keep your hair sleek but it wont keep it totally straight.

    Hair Straightener Product?

What is the best product to use on your hair before you straighten it? my friends told me Tresemme and ENJOY work really well. but i want some other opinions!Hair Straightener Product?
I use: Paul Mitchell Origional- The Conditioner (Leave-in moisturizer), Paul Mitchell smoothing- Super Skinny Serum (smooths and conditions), and Mastercuts- Silk Drops (light hold)

Those three products work wonders! They are also good for curling your hair. I straiten my hair all the time and they make it look smooth, shinny, and healthy. You put all three products one at a time in damp hair. You can buy them at mastercuts hair salons although the Paul Mitchell hair products can be baught in many more places.Hair Straightener Product?
john frienda frizz-ease straighten stuff is really good plus i forget who makes it but theres a shampoo and condit out now and it says straighten up on the bottle i think the bottle is pink...idk you can get it at wally world for like 3 bucks and it works really well
I need to know the same thing!!! I really don't kno what works best but I'd say listen to your friends. They r probably right so try out the products they suggested first then if those don't work good enough for u then do a search on google or something. Hope u find what your looking for!!
I either use tresemme or matrix heat protector so the hair straightener doesn't damage my hair
    Tresemme
Um. I guess you could just by like little bottles of what everyone suggests and choosse the one that works the best and keeps your hair free from gunk the best.
    Matrix
I second the Paul MItchell Super Skinny!! I love it!! My hairdresser got me to try it %26amp; I've been hooked ever since. It's really light %26amp; doesn't weigh down your hair!

check these 2 product out i use them and i love the smooth look i get and i have very corse hair it italian hair so its think so if it work for me it should for anyone
You need a straightener that goes up to higher temperatures, such as over 430 degrees. These are used by professionals, as they are highly recommended. Make sure to bring the straightener through your hair at a faster pace as you can ruin your hair if you don't do so.
Over the weeks I 've agonized myself on which straightener to buy! Hmm..among the salon ones I find the HAI to be a good one..and among the departmental ones I found the Remington wet2straight and Conair Instant heat ultrahot to be very good. These are below 30 bucks and work well..I have the wet2straight .However, don't use it on wet hair, use only after your hair is completely dry and most importantly use a heat protection spray like Vo5.
I use a Sedu. I got it for christmas last year from my boyfriend %26amp; it's amazing! even though I have really thin hair. it's really frizzy and poofy. this works great though. I don't even have to use any product in it and it leaves my hair smooth and soft. you can adjust the temperature up to 410 degrees. if you go to the website that I pasted in sources you can see some before/after pics and get some more info! :)

    - oh btw. on using it: just follow the instructions that come with it, a nice 2 inch piece of hair is what you should put through at a time. I usually clip most of my hair up and start from the bottom and end up diving it into about 4 parts (of course you can have more or less depending on the thickness) and I always use a comb to run through it after I straighten a piece, keeps it nice and straight and smooth.
I use a Conair straightner and it works pretty good!
a 15 dollar straightner works. i bought mine at target and its red...go to this webiste and buy the Herbal Essence iron me flat finishing spray. its amazing and its the only thing that works for me. my hair is super thick and super curly and ally m friends think i got a curly perm. i swear, that stuff works. u can buy it at wal mart too.. and i just read that u can only use your straightner safely 3 times a week. my friend spent 300 dollars on a professional straighting job-like the ones girls have in commercials, and her hair started falling out!

  • Hair Straightener question. Help?

I have straight hair but I want to use my straightner tomorrow. How can I keep my hair nice and shiny/flatter from the straightner w/o too much hairspray.Hair Straightener question. Help?
After you straighten your hair, take a comb with lots of teeth and put some water on it. Shake it out a bit and then comb it through your hair in all the spots it looks dry and frizzy.Hair Straightener question. Help?
Hairspray?? You don't need hairspray! Use a really good heat protector before you iron and finish it with a smoothing lotion. I used Bed Head After Party.
Use shine spray instead. Or if you have layered hair try hair wax, it really brings out the contrast of the layers and keeps hair really shiny.

    Good luck (:

    Hair Straightener Question?

    Hi guys,

I live in uk and wanna GHD straightener - i know the mk4 is out and my friends have it and can even style with it and i am jealous and want 1. I know they are gud but i dont know where to get them from. My friend said ebay but i know someone who got a fake from there. Do you guys know any websites that sell official ones for decent prices?Hair Straightener Question?
Hi there, yes i have also heard that some people are selling ghd fakes on ebay at really cheap prices, so stay clear of them.

I work in salon and you can probably save yourself abt 20 quid or so by buying online, i've had a quick look around and there are official stockists on the ghd website, such as HQhair and Beautysleuth but i have also seen this site, which shows a price comparison between 5 of the official stockists and is worth a look- its not a great website but hay, if its cheaper then its worth it!Hair Straightener Question?
Honey take a second and think. If you have to go online to get something instead of getting it at your salon, how safe is it gonna be for your hair? I'm in the U.S. and have never heard of the straightener you talked about so I can't really give you any facts...but if it is available at salons, go there and get it for the sake of keeping the hair on your head. Good luck.

    Hair straightener scar?

I burned my arm with a straightener MONTHS ago. At least four. It went through the whole turning pink, bubbly, scabby phase, and now its just a dark brown mark on my arm. Is it a scar? Even after four months, could it still be healing? I didn't put any medication on itHair straightener scar?
I've gotten many of these scars. From the looks of it, you just have a scar. It probably burned your skin pretty bad so that's why it's still there. It's all healed but the mark is still there.

They sell cream you can put on scars if you want it to fade.Hair straightener scar?
its a scar but they fade sooner or later

you can use coco butter on it everyday and it will get lighter peridically then be gone!
It's equivalent to what a ';sun-freckle'' would be. A few years ago, I got second degree sunburn and I had blisters EVERYWHERE! After two years, I've still got brown ';freckles'; where the blisters were. You could probably buy skin lighteners for it, but unless it's really bothersome for you, there is nothing to worry about.
It's a scar. Don't worry those kinds of scars fade eventually. If you want to put Vitamin E on it then it may fade quicker. Otherwise you can leave it alone and it will disappear.

    Hair straightener problems?

I've never used a straightener before. My hair is wavy, but I just want to straighten my bangs. I have sort of side swept bangs. They look a lot like my avatars. So I need some precautions ex.- temperature, how far to hold the straightener away from my face, etc. Please help. It's my sister's straightener so she doesn't know I'm using it =). My bangs are seriously out of control though. I've tried hair spray, shaping cream and water. None of those work. Thanks in advance =)Hair straightener problems?
You should be more scared about your sister finding out vs using the straightener! It's not hard. You might want to start on a low heat just to see that you need to turn it up. The heat won't be felt by you at all unless you hold it on your scalp. If you have some protective/leave in conditioner spray, you might want to put that in to prevent most damage. When your bangs are dry and brushed, separate your bangs into sections and glide the straightener from root to tip. You don't need to hold it in a spot to get it straight when it's hot. Don't be afraid haha, you'll get a hold of it the first time you use it. And may I suggest blow drying them for if and when you get caught with a straightener? Good luck!Hair straightener problems?
I have a Conair CS19JCS Instant Heat Ceramic Hair Straightener..It is good. You can have a look at it and the reveiws from the buyers.

Set it on a heat to where is doesn't burn your hair and actually works. Everyone's hair is diffeent so I can't give you much advice on the temperature. Use a paddle brush when straightening. Also do your hair in layers. Be careful in the back around your neck and ears. Finish with hairspray.
Def. put it on low heat. Maybe it's out of control because you burned the ends, and if thats it then get it trimmed a little cuz that usually helps me.
just if you straighten it and it becomes frizzy-stop! also you may want to spray some protect-ant spray on before-not regular hair spray....

    :-)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlwHN9HIE鈥?/a>
It would probably be safer and easier to use a large round brush and a blow dryer set on low heat. Curl them under and swoop them over kind of in the same motion, then use your hairspray after

:)Hair - Straightener advise... Please help?
I have very thick hair and asked my hairdresser. She recommended the Avanti Croc which is quite pricey but is miraculous in what it can do for you hair. It also causes minimal damage.

Whatever you choose, always use a heat protecting spray. Both Tresemme and Dove make ones you can buy for about $4.
a ceramic straightener with adjustable heat would be ideal, the GHD ones are supposed to be really really good. when my friend was deciding which one to buy, hairhouse warehouse let her sample one of them, and straightened ur hair for free :D also, a spray to protect your hair from the iron is a good idea.
    hello kimberley,

1.straighteners are out of fashion now.

    2.curls are the new straight.

    3.they damage your hair.

4.get some new curlers,or hot comb with curls in it.

5.look at most singing artists, curls or straight, see what i mean.

    6.good luck
i use GHD's they are really good

they have a new one out the GHD rare that one is supposed to be really good ! :)

and if you dont want to damage your hair the ghd's come with a heat protection spray which is really good!
GHDs are really good but kind of expensive.

If you have a less expensive/effective straightener, use a product that doubles as a heat protector and i find that helps with the straight effect.
Well, I dont think they have straighteners that dont damage hair, just put a heat protector on your hair. heres some straighteners. :

    http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh鈥?/a>
i think ghd will fit for you .and if you buy it on line ,it will cheap and good ,you can have a try ! good luck !
Although i have never used them myself i have heard from many of my friends that GHD's are the best although they are rather pricey. I just tend to look for some with adjustable temperature dial on them.
The best straightener I've ever used is the CHI flat iron. It's about 100 bucks. I really like the Bed Head Light Me Up straightener *really good for thick hair* it's about 60 bucks
Well recantly iv just brought a pair of ghd and they are realli, but the problem is i have reallii thin hair they are arounsd 拢158
Obviously GHDs are the best. However, I got a some by Models One and they work really well. Babyliss ones are pretty good too.

    x
a good straightener would be chi. most straighteners do about the same damage to hair so you should use a heat protector.
I Have GHDS and the hair protector GHD Spray and that's the best : )
Has to be GHD's. I paid 拢100 for mine and they are still going strong after using them daily for 8 years!

    Hair straightener?

What is the best brand for hair straightener? There is no price limit.

Also, is there other products I should be using when I use a hair straightener?Hair straightener?
Sedu, in my opinion is the best brand out there...not only can you get your hair pin straight, you can also flip it, AND curl it. its amazing...i love it, so with that i will definately reccomend you getting one. the one product i basically use with my hair straightener is Tresseme Thermal Creations. it protects your hair against heat damageHair straightener?
If you are talking flat iron.....Chi. Make sure it is ceramic and mine was around $100. I use Biosilk spray shine to keep it from getting damaged.
I would suggest either the Solia or the Sedu from folica.com. When using a hair straightener, make sure that you use a good thermail protectant as not to damage the hair. Try not to straighten too often and use a good conditioner to strengthen your ends.
stick your finger in the light socket...but not too long as it will get crispy and curly...........naw, be YOURSELF as you were created, it's bound to set a trend.
for a meeseley 20Grand, you can have your hair professionally strightened by me, the professional straitener

    LOL IM TOTALLY JOKING!!!!!

Everyone knows i charge at least 80 grand, just to get through the doors.
    Paul Mitchell.

    Ion.

    Revelon Wet-Straight.

    Those are some good ones.

    The first two I have.

    And are really nice.

    Somewhere around $75-$150.
Chi is by far the best straightener... I usually put some biosilk in my hair before i blow dry it and apply a little bit before striaghtening... Chi straightener dont fry your hair like the other brands and it leaves your hair very soft and silky... Just if you buy one DO NOT wrap the cord around itjust fold it up because it wont heat properly... They get VERY hot and only take a small amount of time to get pin straight hair

    Hope i helped you!
I have an Andis Ceramic straightener. Really, any brand would probably be okay as long as you make sure it's ceramic, and has a high heat level if you have thicker, or extremely curly hair. Make sure you don't purchase a regular metal straightener. They are cheaper and don't work as well. A good product to invest in is Biosilk, which protects your hair from the heat of the straightener so it doesn't get damaged. Good luck!

You shouldnt buy hair products from your grocery store. I go to Paul Mitchell the School and i recommend you getting NEW Express Ion Smooth鈩?1.25 the iron is amazing.

    Key Benefits

Reduces Smoothing Time - Our Express Ion Complex鈩?provides super-fast smoothing from the inside out, while leaving the hair conditioned, frizz-free and the cuticle sealed.

Heats Evenly - Solid ceramic heaters provide even heating across the plates.

Helps Control Static -Super-charged negative ions neutralize the electrical charge in hair to control static electricity and flyaways.

omg the chi is so worth it it turns my puffy frizzy hair into soft sleek shiny super straight hair though it is a lil expensive its so worth it besides u dont want to buy something cheap i bought a 9$ hairstraightner at wal mart it did nothing but waste my time buy a chi youlle be happy u did :D
Get the Sedu. I LOVE IT. I've had it for 2 years and it has never let me down. It's about 115 and totally worth it.

I have very thick hair, frizzy at times. I never was able to get my hair straight and shiny the way the hair dresser does, but I bought this and it is AMAZING. You will NOT be disappointed, I promise!
chis are SOO worth it ive tried other straighteners and then take so long to do

i have extremely curly hair and it takes like 20 minutes with a chi and like an hour with every other one.

    worth it.
    yes its sooo worth it!

it works great and paul mitchell salons use it!

the only thing that is bad that i've heard but haven't experienced is it breaking easily. i haven't had a problem yet though. i've only had it a couple of days.
you should definitely buy the CHI, it works like a charm. Your hair will actually look so healthy, smooth and non frizzy, it'll look like u went to a professional salon.
    GO FOR IT :)

i have had my CHI for a little over a year and i love IT

they work really well and yes it is so worth the MONEY :)
yeah i have the CHI. I think its better than anything else. I used to have Revlon and this other one and they always burned my hair. Just make sure not to straighten ur hair all the time though.
It really is. I love mine. BUT, if your hair is ever frizzy, buy a startightening spary too. And, make sure you know how to use it, or youll fry your hair!
definetly worth it go for it i love it sooooo much
As long as you straighten your hair often it is TOTALLY worth it!
    CHI is deff. worth it.
its so worth it it works like a dream!

    Hair straightener help

i can never get my hair stick straight like i want it! i am trying to find an inexspensive one in sherwood park alberta like shoppers drug mart or something. one that is ceramic would be preferable! one that heats up quickly!does walmart or somewhere have them! can you post a link to a site and the cost please1 thank you!! ten points best answer easy question please help!!1

also do you know of any creams that work i dont really like blow drying my hair though my hair is naturally in between straight and wavy like i cant wear it without either straightening it or playing up the waves what are good products for the waves!

but the straightener is the most important question!!! thank you so much!!!Hair straightener help
the most important thing is making sure the straightner has ceramic plates. and, you should always have it heat up for 30 seconds, also divide up your hair into layers with clips and straighten each layer SLOWLY, not so fast cuz the heat needs a change to straighten the peics of hair. also, you can use hairspray or gel to hold your hair in place. the type of straightner i use is the wet to dry, and it was $20 at walmart :D, the more expensive a straightner is doesnt matter, it all does the same thing :]

*and about the waves use fructis style curl shaping gel or ion styling moose..my mom has really thin poker straight hair, and i have thick curlyyyyy hair, and it works for both of us, so it has to work for you too! :] good luckHair straightener help
My hair is the exact same as yours--not perfectly straight but not curly either, just wavy enough to be annoying. I've found that using Pantene's Sleek %26amp; Smooth really helps when I want to wear it straight, but I do have to blow dry it. I bought an ionic ceramic straightener and it works better than regular ones, but it still never seems to be perfectly straight--I always miss some spots in the back. The only way my hair is ever totally straight is when the stylist blow dries it after I get my hair cut.

I got the straightener off eBay, it was about $30.
I bought my hair straightener from wall-mart for I think 20$

They have some really good ones there

I would get a smaller one because You can style it in different ways

My hair straightener is conair brand and it is heat dry

so it basically will dry your hair while wet

and it doesn't give the blow dryer affect (big and frizzy)

and to get your hair really nice while wavy

    try using anti - frizz

its not gel or mousse but it will control your waves better and stick them all into place

you can get anti - frizz anywere and almost any brand =)

    ahh i have that too!!!

it sucks but usually the hair underneath is curlier so wash your hair with shampoo for curls( i use garnier) then use a little of the pantene scrunching mousse (it works better if your hair is like just starting to be dry) then put your hair into a half ponytail and swirl it into a bun. play with your waves a little bit but dont use too much mousse.

sorry i dont know about the straightener im still looking.
I like Remmington Wet 2 Straight because it isn't too expensive, but is ceramic and works pretty well. http://www.amazon.com/Remington-S-7900t-鈥?/a> I don't know much about wavy hair, but you could try a product like Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse. http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collect鈥?/a> Hope I helped! :)
Keep it dirty for a couple of days.. don't wash it. Then, apply straightening spray (I use Ion heat protection) on the ends to protect them. Straighten it once, then spray with hair spray, brush, and straighten it again. My straightener is a cheap Revlon one that I have had for three years and it still works great. For waves, I use Regis curly hair something or other or Herbal Essence curling gel. Apply those when you're hair is wet and blow dry it.
i have very curly hair and i had the same problem you do! conair is a really good brand to buy straighteners from and they are fair price.

if you are looking to have very healthy, shiny strands that wont be effected by the heat, Chi is the best you can get.

i use victoria's secret straightening gel and it really helps.

    :)

    good luck.

Same problem as you.. I tried the inexpensive ones...didn't work... I found a chi at TJ Max for 20 bucks. Try places that you would not think to look... Discount everything stores like that have hair products too.. You have to dry it out in sections depending on how curly it is... The whole process for me takes around 2 hours. But once it is finished it last around 3 days which is worth it..
yes wal mart does have straighteners and they are pretty affordable up to more expensive. i bought a con air one from them for like 18 bucks and it lasted me 4 years! i loved it and it worked so well. use a leave in conditioner to keep your hair sleek and smooth and straight! good luck!
I'm sorry here. If you buy one that is too inexpensive, it can wreck your hair.

My friend got one that straightened it and curled it and blew it dry. It was expensive but does not hurt your hair.

Ask a store clerk to help you.
Wal mart straighteners fry your hair. If you truly want a good straightener, there's really good ones at Ulta, Beautyfirst, Trade Secret, Sephora, Sally Beauty Supply, etc. It's very worth it.
You should either look at target or look on ebay. Ebay usaully has good deals if you get what your not wanting you can give them negative feedback or at target return it and say it wasnt what you were looking for
there is this straightener from Target. it heats up in 1-2 minutes and is $20. it works really well! it's called Remington T Studio Collection.
well you can go to a drug store they will probrably sell the farouk chi for 59 dollars it works and last for a long time. Good luck :)
My hair is really curly and I use a straightener called 1/4 in. TStudio Tourmaline Ceramic Straightener from KMart. I really don't know if you have that store where you are from, but it is available to order on line. It has a perfect review and I have had it for a few years and it has worked perfectly making my hair stick straight. Here is the site for it:

    http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_038W524734110001P

I looked at the Walmart site and they really only had Conair products which I don't recommend. They never have worked for me.

As for a cream to use for making the waves in your hair, I actually recommend just using some mousse that is meant for people with wavy/curly hair because it will keep the waves in place without blow drying it and it won't make it hard. I use Garnier Fructis Style Curl construct Mousse. It has always worked great for me!

    Hope I helped!

    Hair straightener?

I'm wondering what you think is the best brand of hair straightener.. I have the chi. I've had it for 2 and a half years and its started to die on me. I have to buy a new one. Which kind?Hair straightener?
The Sedu is the #1 bestseller on Folica.com. I have it and it works AMAZINGLY and i have extremely wild hair. But if you have a lot of hair, i recommend getting the 1 1/2';, otherwise you spend a little longer than you have to on your hair. It takes me about 30 mins or less to do my hair with the Sedu.Hair straightener?
best brands are sold at the mall. They dont have any medal in them so it wont mess up your hair.

Thats what i use %26amp; it works pretty good with

    my curlyyyyy hair.
I'm a Hairdresser and a kiosque owner in montreal. I've been selling Herstyler for over a year and Amika flat irons for 5 months now. Both irons are better than the Chi and my favorite is Amika. If you check www.herstyler.com you see how good and fast it is, it's 100% ceramic and there's ones in tourmaline. You can use it for straightning and curling at the same time. Amika is exactly the same as herstyler. Their prices ranges from 200 to 300 and you can buy it from the website. But if you are looking for a good deal you can contact me. You get it half price + one year warranty.
    GHD are good
I have a pink Solia, but look at Folica.com's favorites. They're good.
i swear by my GHDs. i have had the same pair for about five years and they are amazing, well worth the money
CHI is really the best out there! But if you want to switch it up , and try another straightener get a GHD. Or you can also try Conair, for a cheaper price

Anyone else have a ';FHI'; hair straightener?

It does straighten my hair, but problem is.. it doesn't stay straight very long. When I use an FHI hair straightener it stays straight for about an hour than it messes up again. I really wish I bought a CHI instead, but because that hair straightener was on sale for 60$ I got that instead.

Anyone else have problems with FHI?Anyone else have a ';FHI'; hair straightener?
maybe it could be your hair type.

add some frizz creme or straightening creme from sunsilk for your hair to hold flat ironed styles.

    that should to the trick.

    :] good luck.

    -c.

What's like thee best hair straightener?

higher than 400 degrees, heats up fast, etc...What's like thee best hair straightener?
GHD, SEDU, SOLIA CHI, HAI!!What's like thee best hair straightener?
chi flat irons work very well. Also hai flat irons. i have really frizzy, curly hair and my hai flat iron makes it very straight.

If you're going to heat it up to 400 degrees i would suggest you use some kind of spray that will prevent heat damage. tresemme products work well.
I had a Chi, but I think I'm going to buy a Paul Mitchell straightener next. My stylist uses a Paul Mitchell straightener, and I love the way my hair looks when she straightens it. It looks healthier.
higher than 400 degrees is not good for your hair

    i suggest

the cera magic 1 3/4 inch one

    or the ping

    not the chi
i think the one that i use is solia. costs less than 100 and heats up fast and i think the highest is 450 degrees
Ghd is the best hairstraightner, most trusted and used by nearly all hairdressers.
    Kiyoseki Pro.
    definitely chi

    they are amazing
    GHD :)
